This has to be by far the cheapest way of building an external antenna booster for a cellphone. All you need is a cheap wire pants hangar, a small length of a coax cable and some basic tools like a wire cutter. Of course, some patience too. Check it out now.

How many geniuses does it take to build a "stove" out of a Pepsi can? The answer - only one.. and you can build one too. All you need is a a few Pepsi cans (3 precisely), some 3M tape and denatured alcohol.
Okay, now we know the purpose of this but why Pepsi cans.. why not Coke? Scott, who is the brain behind this genius experiment explains "The circular ridge on the bottom of a Pepsi can is narrower than other brands and holds the interior cylinder tightly. The silver colored Pepsi One cans look best because they match the foil tape."

You can always trust geeks to come with the cheap ways to hacking and protecting their gear. Who else is going to think of sticking on some cheap "clear tape" on the screen. Works like a charm, and costs pennies to protect that rather expensive screen.
